1) Chennai Express - 33.12 crore (Holiday)
2) Besharam - 21 crore (Holiday)
3) Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani - 19.5 crore (Non Holiday)
4) Race 2 - 15 crore (Non Holiday)
5) Boss - 13 crore (Holiday)

Boss has just edged out Grand Masti (12.75cr) to enter in top 5 openings of the year. CE, Besharam, Boss were Holiday releases remaining two were non holiday releases. 

Top 5 Multiplex and Single Screen openers of 2013 :-

Multiplexes :-
1) Chennai Express - 95-100% (Holiday)
2) Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani - 85% (Non Holiday)
3) Besharam - 80% (Holiday)
4) Race 2 - 65% (Non Holiday)
5) Grand Masti - 60% (Non Holiday)

Single Screens :-
1) Chennai Express - 95-100% (Holiday)
2) BOSS - 80% (Holiday)
3) Grand Masti - 70% (Non Holiday)
4) Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani - 65% (Non Holiday)
5) Besharam - 55% (Holiday)

Chennai Express has seen biggest ever opening in history in both Single Screens and Multiplexes. Other Big Openers YJHD, Besharam mainly driven by business in Multiplexes.

Today release Boss had an average opening at Multiplexes but very good in Single screens. Opening is much lower than Besharam in plexes but better in Single Screens.
